A Business Without Borders
Pixelworks is a new breed of company that truly operates without borders. We have created a culture that embraces a style of business in which people, products and ideas flow freely around our planet. We call upon the strengths of every country and culture to create a flexible engine of growth that can respond quickly to business opportunities around the world.
We now have offices in Oregon, California, Canada, Taiwan, China, Japan and Korea. Pixelworks is truly a global company -- a business without borders, operating around the clock, around the world.
Principles For Growth
When Pixelworks began in 1997, we carefully crafted our four Founding Principles to serve as an operations foundation for the next 100 years.
Create wealth
For any company to grow and prosper, it must generate profits for itself and its suppliers. But true wealth is measured by more than just decimals and dollar signs. At Pixelworks, wealth is synonymous with wellbeing, quality of life, and the health of the community in which we live and work.
Have fun
We should enjoy what we do. Great work and great ideas are a product of an environment that inspires passion, fun and excitement for the work we do. Having fun, therefore, is an essential part of our long-term success. This applies to our suppliers, vendors and customers as well. They should enjoy doing business with us because we value them both as people and as partners.
Build a legacy
At Pixelworks, we believe that our work should be pursued with a sense of destiny. What we do here matters and, in the end, we should leave the world better than we found it. Building such a legacy requires a generational focus, one where decisions are made from a long-term perspective and success is charted in decades not days.
Take care of each other
At all times and in all things, accept responsibility for the welfare of others. Look out for the interest of fellow employees, suppliers, associates, customers, everyone. An outward perspective leads to a greater appreciation for diverging points-of-view and helps build a stronger sense of community.
As a lasting symbol of these values, we carved them in stone in fourteen languages, much like the famous Rosetta Stone. In the lobby of our corporate headquarters, the PixelStone reminds us of our Founding Principles and of the geographic and cultural diversity that is the source of our competitive strength.
