Main Mission

  • The ideal candidate will be the overseer of the Company’s financial health, a Champion of sustainability and driver of accountability
  • The candidate will be a "roll your sleeves" type of person
  • Be an active participant as the Company heads to its STAR Exchange IPO
  • Coordinate the relationship between the company and investors, receive investors' visits and answer investors' inquiries as well as participate in China investor conferences
  • Participate in the company’s decision process as a member of the executive team
  • Be a business partner to the Board of Directors of the China entity, the Sales team and the GM/President/CEO
  • Ensure the integrity of financial management and reporting of financials to the Regulatory agencies, while building trust between the Company and those agencies
  • Ensure efficiency and compliance in procurement, purchasing and management of local contracts
  • As local and regional laws evolve, the candidate will become the Company’s navigator
  • This role will be the “bridge” between Corporate in the USA to China
  • Manage the Internal Control and risk assessment process of the Asian entities
  • Optimize the cash management of the company
  • This role must be strategic for the Company’s footprint
  • This role must possess excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Operations

    • Manage the Finance, Accounting and Administrative Departments of the Asian entities
    • Establish and implement the financial procedures and operational best practices for all our Asian entities
    • Provide financial and tax guidance in regards to CHINA
    • Establish the purchasing procedures & oversee their implementation as well as be involved in all contract formation & management of such local contracts
    • Oversee the financial operations of the Asian entities
    • Maintain communication with IPO listing related intermediary agencies, hold IPO meetings regularly, motivate all departments of the company to actively cooperate with intermediary agencies
  • Planning

    • Assist in formulating the company's future development and tactical initiatives
    • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans for Asia
    • Develop financial and tax strategies for Asia
    • Manage the budgeting & reforecast processes, implement budget control by working with the Company’s Senior Director of FP&A in Portland – on budgets & financial planning & analysis
    • Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
    • Assist in finding Governmental grants and applying for them, if applicable
    • Work with and manage the external Auditors of the Asian entities as well as have direct access to the parent company’s external auditors
    • Manage the current finance & accounting team in Shanghai and expand and re-organize as sees fit
  • Financial information and Information Disclosure

    • Oversee the issuance of financial information and other disclosure documents, both to the STAR Exchange and other regulatory agencies
    • Report financial results and financial related issues to the China GM/President/CEO as well as the parent company CFO, who is located in the USA
  • Cash Management

    • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
    • Arrange for debt financing if necessary and maintain banking relationships across all Asia
  • Internal Control and Risk Management/SOX work

    • Review the management regulations and procedures of the company and basic understanding of the company's risk profile
    • Work with the VP of Finance in Portland to help you construct and monitor reliable internal control systems
    • Maintain appropriate D&O or similar insurance coverage for both the Board of Directors in Shanghai as well as the Asian facilities
  • Reporting Structure

    • This position will report directly to the GM/President/CEO with a dotted line to the CFO USA
    • This position will also report to the Board of Directors in Shanghai, China
    • This position will work with key positions in Asia, including the VP of Finance in Portland
    • This position MUST attend all Sales and Staff meetings on a weekly basis
    • This position requires a team player attitude
    • This role will be inheriting a fantastic team of Accounting professionals who are key to our China & Asian growth

Requirements:

  • Basic

    • University degree in finance/accounting/other related fields
    • Fluent Chinese and good English
  • Professional experience and skills / Technical Knowledge

    • At least 10 years work experiences in finance/accounting
    • Big 4 Experience a plus
    • Experience in Semiconductor or Hardware industry is a plus
    • Overseas or multinational working experience is highly preferred
    • CHINA IPO experience is highly desirable
  • Capabilities

    • Professional accounting & finance knowledge, familiar with China GAAP, finance & tax policies procedures & practices
    • Some US GAAP skills and technical accounting are desired
    • General understanding of managing a P&L business
    • Knowledge of ERP systems like Oracle
