Position Overview

Based in our Shanghai office, Pixelworks is seeking a Product Manager to manage the growth in established projection and transcoding businesses as well as drive initiatives into exciting new market segments. You will manage a plus (USD) $40M business and drive roadmaps and strategies to double the businesses revenues and profits.

You will leverage Pixelworks core technologies and foundational IP to win opportunities in heads-up-display (automotive HUD) AR/VR headsets (gaming and industrial), and datacenter cloud transcoding.

Supporting you are Pixelworks experts in systems and IC architecture and algorithms. You will report to Vice President Projection Sales and Marketing. The core attribute we looking for in a candidate is a history of strategic deal making with technical sophistication in semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop product definitions and product roadmaps
  • Understand and forecast technology trends
  • Prepare price and product line strategies
  • Responsible for product lifecycle management
  • Forecast and supply management
  • Contract negotiation

Existing and New Product areas include:

  • Manage existing projection and transcode chips supporting customers in China, Taiwan, Japan, Europe
  • Leverage Pixelworks state of the art warping and image processing technologies to move Pixelworks into Heads Up Display (Automotive) and AR/VR headsets (consumer and industrial) applications
  • Leverage Pixelworks transcoding IP to win projects in datacenter cloud transcoding

Experience:

  • 10+ years of product management and/or product marketing experience
  • BS technical degree required; MBA preferred
  • International marketing experience including working for global companies and/or working with international customers
  • Excellent English speaking and writing
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Knowledge of video and/or image processing semiconductors
  • Be creative and highly motivated
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently with minimal direction
  • Previous leadership experience, know when to lead and when to be a team player
  • Experience in B2B product marketing and solution-selling
